I painted four works after being inspired by nooma videos. All four paintings explore breath, life, and resurrection. Butterflies are symbols of resurrection because of their life cycle. There is a lot of white in the work, which is usually for me. The white represents Breath and Life. The patchwork, quilt styel is old fashioned, yet I wanted to make sure the painting was still abstract in nature. This painting also has a small black square of poylmer clay attached to the front in the center for a three dimensional, mixed-media effect. " -- Cindy
