Artist Statement

I believe art should move you in some way. A painting should be thought-provoking, or stir emotions. My inspiration comes from a deep, emotional need to create. I don't really enjoy painting something I don't love or believe in, and so my subject matter and style are based on internal and external influences such as interests or current events. My paintings tend to be colorful because I paint what I see, and I see color in everything.
