Artist Statement

My paintings are about texture and color. I like to take one idea, sometimes even just one word, and try to put it down on the canvas using as many layers as possible.

I don't intentionally insert symbols into my paintings. When I am finished other people construct their own interpretation of the piece. I enjoy watching them find objects, animals, and people that I did not intentionally paint.

Bio

Cindy Davis' paintings have been exhibited and sold in Georgia, Florida, California, Colorado and Tennessee. She has recently exhibited in Albany and Valdosta,Georgia, as well as Live Oak, Florida.

Ms. Davis is a member of the International Society of Acrylic Painters, the Southern Artists' League, and the Georgia Artist's Guild of Albany. She currently works from her studio located in Albany, Georgia.
